Putting Henry Clays "War Hawk" To The Test

In Depth Cigar Review
Henry Clay · Robusto

Tasting notes

First third

Earthy undertones, cedar, and cracked black pepper

Second third

Cocoa, nutmeg, sweet cream butter, and toasted almonds

Final third

Sourdough toast, cashew, and a lingering citrus spice

Burn: It is known for a "healthy volume" of thick, aromatic smoke. Some vitolas, like the Lonsdale, may have slightly thinner smoke if puffed too slowly.

Draw: The draw is consistently described as "nearly perfect" with just the right amount of resistance.

Construction: The cigars are solidly rolled with tight seams and a well-applied double cap, resulting in a smooth feel in the hand with no noticeable soft spots.
